Admit it, what do you do with these when you encounter them on public land during hunting season? :)

I leave the tacks but pull the ribbons when I find these. Where we bear hunt the slobs/pigs leave them up after they leave. Drives me crazy and looks terrible If you ask me!! Leave the woods how It was when you got there was how I was brought up. The tacks don't bother me at all. You can't see them until your light hits them at night.

Same as Steve... I've left with pockets full of that orange crap, both in "my" woods and Colorado while elk hunting.

You guys should see the one place that I hunt. There is flagging and bright eye trails everywhere. One hunter flagged every 12 yards! Flags across the field even... is the guy that easily lost that he can't walk straight across a field?????

The other place I hunt, we are limited to *one* bright eye. Still, some of the other hunters put them all over the place. I've been tempted to pull them and then re-route the trail so the hunter goes around in a circle.

I have pulled only one bright-eye and one reflective twisty in all my public land hunting. It irritates me that it looks like an airport landing strip when shine a light around but I'm not really into messing with other people's stuff. (even when it's breaking the rules)

Don't get out on public land much, but I pull plenty leading from public onto my own land.

That would have pissed me off. Stealing trail tacks because someone else is hunting the same area?

Most times I'll do nothing..But sometimes I'll simply reroute the person away from my area ;).

My theory is learn the woods or buy a GPS..I may be helping someone discover a "new" spot.

I've had some good laughs over some of the Trails I've seen blazed in the woods. It makes you wonder if they have any sense of direction at all.

Seriously, "my area"? Are we still talking about public land. Please tell us you were joking.

OK Im a bit mixed on this one. I do not take them down, I dont know what it is marking. Is it a trail over the ridge for a 14 yr old? Or yesterdays blood trail? On the other hard I do not condone leaving them out after season is done. I watched a jack ass pull a route I had flagged for my wife GF at the time. She doesnt hunt everyday much less travel the woods in the dark OMG she would have been so lost I still wouldnt have found her. I do not think Im a "slob" for doing this either. Hell I stop and pick up soda/beer cans on the logging roads. I personally see nothing wrong with flagging a trail, as long as it is taken down at close of season.

I'll take down the ribbons after the season, I leave the tacks alone, I don't feel the need to mess up somebody's hunt no mater where they lead!
