i have recently move to Houston Texas and i am hunting on public land. i have spent a little over twenty hrs. in my blind and have yet to see any deer. i know it is still early in the season but if anybody has any method(lure, food source etc.) of hunting public land that has worked for them i would love to know. thanks

I've sat way longer than that on private land without seeing so much as a tweety. The best encouragement is stay off the main people trails... make sure there is plenty of sign... look for entry/exit/bedding/feeding areas.

stay off or as far away from camps or trails and find a water source. in this tx heat your not gonna see any deer around a bait pile they are more interested in water.
