Public grounds in raleigh Durham nc?

    Just graduated college and moved to the Raleigh Durham area, more specific Rolesville North Carolina. Can anyone tell me any public grounds to hunt around here?

    Uwharrie public grounds. I've heard it gets crowded but plenty of deer. My dad went for muzzle load and had some success. I never went. Just make sure you have your sh!t wired tight and follow the rules. NC game officers are thick as hair on a dog's back there. You will get checked more than likely. Which isn't a bad thing.

    Uwharrie is quite the drive from RDU area. A lot of hunting pressure and you definitely need to spend time energy to get away from folks and understand/pattern the animals there.

    Look on http://www.ncwildlife.org for gamelands. Also make sure your licensed to hunt them.

    Falls Lake has some really good public land bow hunting. Just of Hwy 98 and Hwy 50.
