Had my stinger (first bow) for 3 weeks now and I really like it, but, its the only bow I have ever owned so what do I know.... Obviously with higher end bows you get lighter, faster, quieter.... How much though? How many more feet per second can I get for 400 more dolla? Shooting 60lb stinger at 55 right now. I started 3 weeks ago at the bottom and I think I'll be shooting comfortably at 60 in a matter of weeks. Thanks for any help.
I had a stinger last year and this year I have a new z7 extreme. Stinger = 283fps @ 29"-70# z7e = 310fps @ 28" - 70#. My stinger was loud and i tried all i knew to quiet it, my z7 is crazy quiet out of box. z7 feels lighter but not by much but as far as pull my z7 compared to my stinger with the stinger being 70, my z7 feels like 45. If money is no problem it is worth $400 other wise don't fret over it. I used to shoot squirrels on the ground at 40 yds with my stinger, I have not had a chance with my z7 yet to compare. I loved my stinger. Hunt with it for a year or two then upgrade. It will make you really appreciate the new bow so much better.
I've had mine for 2 years now, had a more expensive PSE(Thunderbolt X) for a while, and it did seem a little quieter. As far as everything else, Im extremely pleased. It's been good to me and I hope it serves you well.
Thanks a lot guys. Yr testimonials help a lot. I'm really digging my stinger and not in any rush to upgrade. Eventually...
Yeah I was going to get a PSE Stinger but I hear so many great things about the new line of Mathews.. Im saving up and Im gonna get the Z7 Extreme probably
There will be a bit of difference but nothing to stress over if you have only had your bow for 3 weeks. They look like a nice bow so have fun with it
