I've been playing with a new Rogue that my uncle has and Im liking the hybrid cams a lot. I know new vs new the Rogue cost more, but at the same time I dont want to give up speed.

The pros of the Rogue for me, shorter, lighter, and I like the draw stroke better.

    Lend me some advice please.

It is the Rogue NH, it is a 2007 or 2008 model, one or the other. Same year model as my Octane. Right now, the Rogue is set at 55 and it pulls easier/smoother than my Octane at 57.

Here is a pic of it:

Trust me, I want a Vendetta XS sooooo bad, but funds arent allowing it yet. This one I can get as a straight up trade.

Yeah, I looked it up. I thought it was a new model. You got me excited! lol... I think you could get last year's model of the vendetta xs for a really good price (say.. $400). Though, I understand in the current state of the economy how that's a bit pricey. It really comes down to how it feels in your hand. If you like it better, i wouldn't concern myself with losing a bit of speed. I'm sure it's more than fast enough to kill a deer :)

I will further elaborate. My uncle doesnt do much with his bow shop anymore, so he has several '07-'09 bows just sitting there. Yes, I know the Vendetta I want is 100% better, but I can get this Rogue cheap. Speed wise, they are virtually identicle, but I was considering it, because I like the way the hybrid cams on the Rogue pulls. It is a little stiffer for the same draw weight, but the hard part is over sooner. Its just a quick stiff point then let off, where as my Octane is just stiff all the way through, then let off.

But, just out of curiousity, I have the Rogue set at 55# vs my Octane 57#, and Im going to chrono my arrows out of it. Should be a fun experiment.

Even though the Rogue is only 2" shorter, it just feels a lot smaller and lighter, and I like that. If a smaller package, can do the same job, then why not right ?

I know I'm crazy, but I like to try new things, and I will report my findings back to you guys.
