Well my dads getting his first bow and i've been helping him decide what to get. He went down to our bow shop and really likes the Bowtech soldier. Me being a PSE guy also told him to try out the stinger. Well he likes them both and can't decide which to get. I love my stinger and haven't had any issues with it yet, just wondering how the soldiers are? Any info will be great.

Haven't had experience with the Bowtech soldier, but bowtech bows are really good bows. I'm a PSE man myself as well, but brand is mainly a preference IMO.. it all depends whichever one you prefer. The Bowtech soldier is a little bit faster since at 29" draw length it shoots 308 FPS and the IBO speed on the PSE Stinger is 316, which most IBO speeds at measured at 30" draw length, and since 1" inch of draw length is worth about 10 FPS of arrow velocity that would put the IBO speed of the Soldier at 318.. which isn't much of a difference but is a little bit faster.

I would just have him shoot both and see whichever one he prefers. Both are good bows and you couldn't really go wrong with either. Grip preference and quietness is what I would pay most attention to.

Bowtech Destroyer 350 for me! Here is a picture of 11 arrows at 30 yards after getting a few tweaks done.

Nice bow and nice group, when the time comes for me to get another bow I will definitely be trying out the 340 and 350. But my dads just getting into it and for a starting bow he doesn't want to spend to much. I think he's going to get the soldier though.

Have your dad shoot every bow he can and let him pick the one he likes best.

My first bow was a Bowtech but its was stolen before i had a chance to hunt with it. Now i have a PSE it's an older one but i love it. picked it up used for 80 bucks RTS just had to get arrows. and well till i can get a chance to try out the new Hoyt Matrix or the new Mathews Z7 Xtreme. Ill stick with PSE. Its very reliable for it age once i got it sighted in for me never had a prob getting a nice grouping from 40 yards and im new to bowhunting.

Read and shoot as much as you can (reviews) and make the decision yourself or in this case his self.

PSE's are great bows, fast shooting, a lot of forgiveness, try one out.
