I have the opportunity to buy the following bow and gear:

Right handed PSE nova, draw length 27',Draw weight set at 41 lbs.
Comes with: Whisker biscuit, cobra site, string silencer, weight balance bar, 8 carbon-fiber arrows cut to length 3 extra polymer arrows, target/safety tips, 3 hunting razor tips, 20+ arrow quiver, soft carrying cast that hold everything AND a practice target.
    $250 OBO

I know nothing about bows, I'm a gun guy. I'm interested in getting started. I was looking on PSE's website, and all of their Novas have a 60-70 lb draw weight. Is this bow like a kids bow or a girl bow? Just wondering why it's got a light pull. Anyway, is this a good bow? And if so, is this a good deal?

Again....new to bows, searching for some knowledge. :d
    Thanks!

I think I had one of these before, a long time ago.
As for the 40lbs, It is either an older model, or they have it turned WAY down.
Wasn't a bad bow, but I was smaller. I outgrew it.

Best advice. Go shoot around at a local shop. Talk to people there, and spend some time looking at bows.

I cant really say if it is a good deal or not. Im not sure how old it is. I had bought a PSE Nova AC (arson cam) for my son when he was 13 years old, It was the 60-70 lb model and was a solid shooter, good starter bow IMO. Before you buy anything, make sure what your draw length is, have a shop check it for you to give you a number. If you dont, you may buy something that dosent fit your draw length.

I'm a 6' tall guy with about a 6' wingspan. 180lbs if that matters. What's an average draw length for a guy my size?
