It's good to see some of my/our hard earned tax dollars going to good use. Delaware just unveiled a draft of the most comprehensive deer management plan I have ever seen. It's a long read, but its in a language that most people (hunters, nonhunters and and anti-hunters) can understand. I only hope the final product ends up close to the draft. It covers everything from Quality Deer Management to Chronic Wasting Disease to Crop Damage and Contraception. Kudos to the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife. I always considered myself lucky to live here with liberal deer seasons, bag limits and an abundance of public land to hunt and now it looks as though they have a comprehensive plan to manage it. If anyone is interested in reading it or wishes to pass it along to your state's managers here it is. http://www.fw.delaware.gov/Hunting/Pages/Delaware_Deer_Management_Plan.aspx
