    Ahh, it wasn't too long ago I was toting the IL Hunter's Safety Course patch out of the conservation facility. It is still on my shotgun case to this day.

    Congrats Peak....thanks for sharing the photo and the memories. Thumbs WAAAAAAAY up!! It won't be long and he will be slammin' slammers all over Wisconsin.

    He turns 12 12/25/08 and they have a special holiday gun deer season this year so he will
    be going out also for the first time.

    looks like IL has a special shotgun/muzzleloader youth hunt for the under 16 crowd the weekend of oct 11-12, I ~might~ try and get my boy in a safety class and take him out on some public land, he's DYING to go this year... i know he can handle the shotgun, seen him fire it, pretty accurate too... so we'll get him up to the bristol range and give him some extra trigger time
