    My son Trenton shot his first deer with a bow this year. He was patient and made a great 20yd shot. Didnt go more than 50yds. This deer means more to me than any I have killed. To see the excitement in his eyes was something I will always remember. It made me remember what hunting should be. He didnt care how many points or even if it was a buck or not. Just the excitement of hunting and succeding in what he set out to do was enough.

    That's awesome, congrats to your son! Being there with my dad after shooting my first deer is a memory I'll never forget, and one I'm sure your son won't forget either. Hopefully it's just the first of many to come.

    Great news to read about! My son is 3 and I can't wait for that day.

    I took a buck a couple weeks ago and my dad was there hunting with me...I could not have asked for anything more. Every hunt with him is special. Always was always will be! Enjoy it.
