i was wondering if anyone has tried to use white rope or ribbon and block of a portion of their plot to keep deer out. i was told to run a row and then move about 2-3 feet inside of the row with another row but just off set the height of the rope on post. and it is supposed to keep them out. this method seems to be cheaper than a solar panel electric fence but im just wanting something that is gonna work. if anyone has tried this or something that works, please let me know

It might work for a short time but they will go past it when the figure out that it wont hurt them. I put up an E fence around 1/2 acre this year and have not had one deer get in. But we also haven't had jack for rain so ther isn't a ton of food in the fence ? The E fence didn't cost all that much. went with a parmak solar charger $189 from ebay (new) and the poly wire 6k feet + for $60 on ebay. and the othe stuff from farm&fleet
