I am considering buying new sights but am having trouble picking the pin size. I have seen a sight with the .10s and loved them but I have heard they lack in brightness?

I have always shot the the .19s but lately they are blurring together really bad.

I was just wondering before I went and spent the money, if anyone had any advice on the.10s good or bad. Thanks!

For my hunting ranges, 25 yds or less, I find the .19's to be perfect. Big enough to see well but small enough to aim at specific spots. I like the .10's for 40 yds and out and use them on a couple of sights only for practicing at long range. Pin brightness has never been an issue for me. I know which pin to use at which distance and, even if it were not bright enough to see the color of the pin, I would just put the black dot where I need it.

I hunted with 10's last season and my top 2 will be 19's this season.

10's for distance, 25 yrds and beyound, 19's for the closer in ranges 0-25yrds or so. I myself use one pin and it's a 19 HHA sight..

I have two sights. One has the top pin .019 and the rest are .010. The other sight has the top two .019 and the rest .010. The second is my primary hunting setup. I don't plan on shooting more than 30 yards (top two pins are 20 and 30) at an animal, but when shooting at longer ranges, I feel the .010 pins provide me with more accuracy.

Time to get the old eyes checked. I have the same issue since I had my eyes lazered, especially this yr. I switched to .19s last yr, but now the 40 yrd pin is blurry & takes up a lot on the target, so I may doing as the others here & mix it up w/.10's.

I actually just had my eyes checked and ended up having to get glasses haha

I probably will do the .19s for my 10 and 20 yard pins ,yes I have a 10 yard pin...I have used it more than any of my others in the field :) lol and then the 10s for the 30 and 40.

I have been shooting 3d alot this summer and the distance shots are murdering me with them 19s. I was looking at the new axcel armortech but I dont know if you can customize them?

I tried a Hogg-It for 3d a few years ago outfitted in all .10 pins... my aging eyes just couldn't pick out the pins like I needed to.

Now, I run a custom configuration on all my Hunter Hogg Its: .29 top pin (for 20 yards -- I can still see PLENTY of vitals even with this pin at that closeup to a big-game animal) and .19s for 30, 40 and 50.

If I were a bit younger, I would consider going to a .10 for my 50-yard pin, but as it is everything is just fine for me.
