I have obtained a property it's a winery. The whole cleared area is surrounded by an 8' deer fence. I have scouted the whole perimeter of the property and found only 2 possible and 1 probable funnel spots where deer would most likely jump the fence. There is Sooo much acreage around the property I have no real idea of bedding areas. In the pictures I have annotated what I found on my first and only scouting trip.
What advice might you have on putting up a treestand other than what I've found so far.
Plan B: pop-up blind inside fenced area.

VA, are you allowed to hunt the woods outside the cleared area?

There is an easement at the circled treestand location and another at the entrance to the winery. The entrance didn't show much good sign though.

This is just a guess based on the aerial photo and the line that you drew indicating the most sign.

If that line is a trail that the deer use to get into the fence, it would suggest that the deer may be bedding in the swampy area (directly north of the property). If that is the case, I think your tree stand location would be in a good location. Not sure if you can hunt that swampy looking area or not, if so, I would certainly have a stand on the edge of the timber or just slightly inside.

A ground blind will work, if the area is manicured, make sure the blind it out reeeeeeeally early in the year.

This is kind of what I was talking about.

Your placements look to be about the same spots as I was planning on. The far west circle is would be pushing the boundaries.

I haven't been back to the winery all summer. I went by today at mid-day. I was able to talk to a couple of employees. They have a raccoon problem as well as deer roaming the outskirts. One employee told me that he sees deer at the front gate every morning. I saw a lot of sign there in my scouting so I put a camera there. Also there are raccoons in the trash and eating the grapes at the rear of the building. I did some scouting and found more deer sign just outside the rear gate. I found a good tree for a stand and put a camera there.
    Let the hunting begin.
