Excuse my poor manners. I never did properly intrduce myself here.

While visiting the home farm over the weekend. My Mother has started purging some of her stuff. She made digital copies of her photo albums and gave them out to me and my brothers and sisters. It was great to look back on these old photos so I thought I'd share some of them here. this is my hunting story.

It all started back in 1964. I studied deer behavior from my crib and at the ripe old age of one. I brought home my first deer. I'm the one with my hand in my mouth. I didn't read the regs very well so I missed the part about killing the deer.

During the spring and summer months. I spent some time on the racing circuit but soon infighting with the pit crew brought an end to that. That's me in the lead car

I would spend the fall and winters on the Northern range hunting deer. I'm the one in the middle with the brown hat.

As time passed. It was getting a bit crowded on the farm.

I mean REALLY crowded. (far right)

It was time to branch out on my own and live off the land. (and whatever I could carry in a brown paper bag.)

I met up with a couple of fur traders and we made our way West to settle new frontiers. (center)

I got in with a bad crowd and did a bit of partying.

I raised a little too much hell and had to lay low for a while.

When fur prices dropped. I tried my hand at farming for a few years.

I realized that the farm life was not for me and it was back to the woods chasing deer.

    I lived off the land

Over the years I cut down my share.

Then I met a good woman and I showed he the finer things in life. (far right)

Now I had a family to provide for.

We raised up a youngin and taught him the way of the woods.

And before long we had another boy to teach.

He took right to it and killed hisself a gator when he was only 13

    He learned all the weapons

We now had two boys to take over the hunting chores.

And they did a hell of a job

This freed up a lot of my time to try a little fishing.

And to try my hand at modeling.

Who knows where it will lead to next.

Wow... You are a post monster.

I'm lucky if I spell all the words I type our correctly, think I have posted a total of one pic - me and Chuck Norris in Fallujah I think.

Your posts are awesome, and really informative. I am new to all of this, this is my second year of deer and bow hunting. So I am really digging the info. Hoping to get my first kill this year, at 43 so I have bunch of catching up!

I will take your word for it. I'm not into football too much since it takes place during the archery deer season and because I dont TV. I wish them well.

That's a beautiful bow in your last pic... I read somewhere else that you do manufacture a lot of your own equipment; surely that's not a self-bow pictured there, is it?
