I just recently picked up a .257 Roberts from a beloved friend of the family battling cancer. He was a huge pronghorn hunter back in the day and I felt what better tribute to him than to take the gun hunting for some pronghorn out west. Being a much bigger whitetail deer hunter than pronghorn (not to mention bow rather than gun) I'd like to find a public ground somewhere which I could self hunt them as I can't justify paying an outfitter on them. Is there anywhere anyone would recommend at attempting this? It would be my first time chasing this animal and honestly rifle hunting as well (lots of range time will be put in). Any advice would be awesome fellas!

Wish I could help you out, but I'm hoping you can find the info you are looking for. After being out west on vacation this year, I really developed an interest for hunting them. One of these days I'll get out there. I would think public land would be a good way to go, since they seem to be everywhere out there.
