I just got an new property, 40 acres of woodland surrounded by a reservation and state land. Checked the camera after two days (yeah I know, too soon but couldn’t wait!) I put a gallon of molasses and 50lbs of corn under the new feeder to get them interested. Seeing plenty of hogs so my first hunt will be this Friday and Saturday. Terrible camera positioning but I fixed it now lol
Yes sir. Seen plenty of does around and a lot of turkeys. I’ll save some for ya when your down here next
Iv only had the property less than a week and I baited all over the place, I was spraying my bait all over the ground the other day. Managed about a gallon of it. Molasses obviously.
So we went to fill feeders tonight and when we finish at one and I turn round to head to the other and this little girl is just acting like we’re not there. It was pretty surreal
Love it man!! Keep hitting them... it'll take em a while to catch on! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Yeah we want to clear out the large ones we have seen on camera, this guys about a standard size for what we have and we can identify about 6 or so like this. Our thinking is that they are keeping the others away so if we get rid of the big bullies we should start seeing better meat hogs and more deer around. This morning we could hear a lot of hogs but they wouldn’t come in as there was these two big guys making noise around he feeder.
Another hog down today. Approximately the same size as the last one. Full pass through at about 30 yards. Had to drive in with the truck and drag it out with that as I was alone today lol.
I have to say no deer is going to fear a guy in a get up like that boots and shorts, she was laughing.
I might have to switch up my approach to camo and go with a crocs and zubas set up. Too cold to go with the shorts and boots where I live.
I was gonna say only a crazy person would go out in the woods in shorts and boots in that snake infested place
