That sucks DD. I too have used them for years and not has any problems. I just bought 2 packs of the new Nocturnals. I noticed they made the nocks thicker to hold up longer. I haven't shot them yet, but I will now to make sure they are ok. I hope they do the right thing and I hope this was just a bad batch of them and not a recurring problem.

I put some on my neighbors arrows and we really disliked them when compared to Lumenoks.

I've used them in ACC's, Maxima Hunters, Blue Streaks, Gold Tip's and now Carbon Injections with no problems. I did use a little cam and serving lube to get them in the ACC.

I've had the same problem with them being tight putting in. I even had one break off like you. I was able to put a screw into it and pull it out, saving the arrow.

Same thing happened to me. Bought G nocks for my FMJ injexions and they broke off in the arrow when trying to install them. Fortunately I got them at Cabelas and Cabelas gave me a FULL refund for not only the nocks but also the arrows since the nock was stuck inside one of them. I will not be buying nockturnals anymore.

Good idea! I just did that and got them out. At least I saved the two arrows and I'm "only" out the (6) 3-packs of Nockturnals.

Thanks for replying with the idea.

Sorry to hear about the 'lemons" you got from Nocturnal. I just purchased my first 3-pack of lighted nocks (red nocturnals) about a week ago. They fit snuggly into my Easton AXIS arrow shafts and worked as advertised for me. Good luck getting reimbursed!

Glad to see it worked out for you. I too was nervous when it happened, there isn't much info on the web about removing those types of nocks.

I just started shooting them last year and four deer later, fell in love with them. Mine all fit great and worked as expected. I'm anxious to hear what they have to say to you about it. From the pics, they seem "odd" looking to begin with. Perhaps a bad group, damaged somehow or knock offs?

I just opened a new pack of the pink H Nocturnals and noticed they were SUPER tight getting them into my Bloodline's.. I've never had an issue with them before.. Although some don't last as long as others do.. I did also notice the color of the new ones are a different color then the older ones I have.

Nockturnal got back to me. They asked me to send them the nocks and they are going to refund my money. They were going to reimburse me for the arrows as well, but I told them I was able to get the nocks out so no worries there.

So...great customer service! They just need to fix the quality control on their nocks because they are definitely different than they were just a couple years ago. The look is different and the quality is certainly worse. I hope they get it corrected.

I'm glad to hear they are taking care of you. Personally, I'm jut not a fan of the design, the switch on the side is just a bit of a pain that none of the other lighted nocks I've used have. I like Luminok's because of the brightness and ease of use, but you can sometimes run into issues with the contact wires not making contact. I also ran into an issue while using the carbon express bulldog collars that are anodized. I had to sand off the coating so the wires would make direct contact and complete the circuit. Right now I'm using the Carbon Express Launch Pads and really like them so far. They turn off by just pulling the end of the nock away from the arrow. They are not quite as bright as the Luminok's but I'm using the blue and they really stand out.

When Rage took over that brand, I was afraid something like this would happen. Glad they took care of the issue.

That to me is not a good sign when a company offers a refund rather then a replacement. Does that indicate that they are all going to have the same problem now or am I reading to much into it?

I bought a bunch of them this year and they all have worked perfect. I never have had a single issue with any nocturnal nocks.

my thoughts exactly and why I brought it up
now we hear they even look different then the older "nocturnal only" ones.
something changed and appears to coincide with Rage getting involved

They are owned by the same company as muzzy and trufire. Feradyne owns them all.

I stated in my email that I didn't want a replacement because I lost confidence in their product. I asked for a refund.

then why not a feradyne, or muzzy, or tru-fire logo on the pack ?
    why the rage emblem ?
had they just left the packaging alone, only those of us who read about the buy in/out would even know anything changed.
