A customer brought in a Bowtech Tomkat that needed new DL modules. No problem. Got them in and installed them. The bow was at 45#'s when we swapped the mods, now it's got to be well over 80 as I can't pull it. All the cables are routed properly. The mods are installed correctly and visually I can find nothing wrong. The only thing I can find is the ATA is about 1/8 too long so I took the string off and measured it. It's also long, about 3/16". Is it possible the string stretched in 2 weeks and increased the draw weight? I'm stumped on this one.

you would think 3/16" would increase draw poundage. but 35#'s + ? thats alot. Do the limbs even go up to 80#'s? and did you check the weight before hand?

The limbs are what they are and the string can't increase them a whole lot more than that. Did you put the old modules back on to see if the DW changed again? I would think something is binding. If you remove the strings and cables do the cams move freely? Maybe a cam bearing problem that the draw modules exacerbated?

I did put strings on a Tomkat once and misrouted them (actually the cables) and got the same problem you are talking about but changing modules shouldn't have affected the string routing.

Sounds like cables are not routed properly. Only thing I can think of. What mods did you put on and what was taken off?

I totally agree with Bruce on this one. Sounds like you need to swap those mods back and see what happens, my guess is nothing and there is misrouted cables somewhere. On a Tomkat I worked on once, the cable had slid off the smaller round part of the cam and was laying on the axle, hard to notice, but causes the same thing.
