Lately one of my cams (Cuddy IR) has been acting up. I've been getting pics that look like infrared images. It was suggested by Pat that I try reformatting my cards. I tried doing that with my card reader but couldn't find it on the menu and I know it's there. I have to find the book.

What do you think....... camera or card?

I would say camera as well. Looks like a problem with the IR filter but I would try a different card. It's a whole lot cheaper than a new cam. Good luck.

My old Leaf River started doing that if it didn't have fresh batteries. They it did it off & on no mater what. It eventually died. I'd say it's the Cuddy.

I think your camera may be on to something. Looks like its showing you where most of the deer scent is or where deer have been:)

    I would say camera.

I check all my batterys with a digital meter before using them in the field anymore From time to time, gas and my time cost too much anymore not to have pics when i get there. Also if the cam will formatt the sd cards in it I highly rec it over using your computer to formatt cards.

Some cams do not like re-chargable batterys because the voltage is 1.2 vs 1.5 of a alkaline battery

lithium batterys have 1.7 voltage but dont show true voltage readings in cams ie. the cam will say 75 percent and the batts may be dead.
I like rayovac alkalines most will show 1.54-1.57 volts you can buy 48 pack AA at home depot for 15.00
But i think your cam uses d-cells but the info is the same.
Also I would also try a new sd card that has not been used in any other device just to cover the bases before you send it in for repairs.

If all else fails buy a DLC covert.sorry i had to;)
