The load of BS that these cameras are giving me is increasing by the day. Today, when i checked it, i had the "summer of 09 camera curse" inside. ANTS. Millions. In the external battery and the camera. There was so many of them that i could hear them walking on the forest floor before i got there. WTH? Ive had cameras in the woods for 7 years and not a single ant ever managed to wedge itself in, i have this camera for 2 weeks and its a apartment complex. The battery was dead of course, probably the camera to. I was so ticked i just left it in the woods to deal with another day.

Managed to take 130 pictures, and only 8 of them had animals in them :bash: The rest were blanks....rediculus :computer:

Im a cuddeback man from now on

I had that happen to me a couple weeks ago...Took the camera home and blew them all off...Put the camera back out on a different tree and didn't have any ants and it took 145 pics...Sorry to hear about that.

I work with a guy who had the same problem. I believe he used a dab of gorilla glue to solve the problem but i'm not exactly sure where he put it. I'll ask him and get back to you.

I've owned 2 Stealth cams and had the SAME problem with both of them. Hundreds of photos of leaves blowing in the wind, then 1-2 deer photos. I eventually gave up on them. Like you, I'm a Cuddeback user now. Although I have had decent luck with my Moultrie cams as well.

I actually pulled the camera yesterday and cleaned it out and recharged the battery. It seems to be working fine. Im not going to put it back on the same tree though and i am going to try and seal all the little holes in the bottom so i dont have critter problems again.

I have a buddy with an older Stealth and its just as reliable as yours. The batteries do go fast though.
