Will you be watching it? Does anyone actually get excited about it? Or the few people that actually watch do they just watch it because there is nothing else on?
Oh come on. You know you'll be watching the late golf coverage from Torre Pines. Tiger is kicking butt. When darkness ends that you can watch NCIS or The Good Wife or a nice cooking show. LOL
Is that tonight? Actually it'll be interesting to see if they actually put some effort in after manning gave them a talking to
I understand that to host the Super Bowl takes a lot of planning with all the events that go on. However i would love if the Pro Bowl was like the MLB All-Star game where the winner of the Pro-Bowl would get home field advantage for the Super Bowl... That would give the players something to play for and we would get to see a game with the best players in the league going all out and trying to win... Plus I would move the game to after the Super Bowl so those players could play as well... Just a thought
It was always held after the superbowl forever. I believe last yr was when they moved it to the week between. Only because they had absolutely NOBODY watching it after the superbowl. I guess its probably a little better now, but its a joke really. And yes, its an honor to make the team...but what about the guys playing in the superbowl? They get to miss the free trip and party.
I think the pro bowl should be played during the preseason. Gives injured players the chance to actually play, would probably draw more viewing from football starved fans. A lot of players skipped it when it was post Super Bowl and now no Super Bowl team players play in it anyway. I didn't even realize it was on tonight until I seen this thread. It's harder to watch than week 4 of the preseason.
Super Bowls will always be played at neutral sights. The league and most fans who shell out the big bucks for tickets want the games to be played in desirable locations which are warm this time of year or at least indoors. Also, as you already mentioned it takes a lot of preparation for a city to host a Super Bowl. Plus, I really don't think players are going to risk their health/careers anymore than they do now even if the Pro-Bowl decided home field advantage in the Super Bowl. The vast majority of them aren't going to play in the Superbowl anyhow and I don’t think many care that much who wins it (other than if it’s their own team). The Pro-Bowl is nothing more than an exhibition and that’s all it will ever be...nobody wants to see players get hurt in a meaningless game...it is what it is....I never watch it
I watched some after I got In from Ice fishing. I saw that Rudolph tore It up and won MVP. Good for him.
