I believe in making a positive difference one hunter at a time by offering up some of my personal farms this season. In order to shoot a big buck, you have to be hunting on ground that holds big bucks, which is not always easy to do. Top zone in Iowa and Missouri tags are over the counter which means you can archery or rifle hunt during the rut. You will be able to hunt some of the best available ground in Northern Missouri or Southern Iowa. Contact me if you are serious about harvesting mature deer and are looking for a great place to hunt this fall. Please, serious inquiries only.

When did Iowa buck tags become available over the counter?

I think you are right John. You can buy over the counter Doe tags, so it seams he is saying they will tag the buck for you. I have got emails like this since I started applying for an Iowa tag. This type of person that appears to be willing to break the law doesnt get much attention, but some one says they are going to shoot a doe with fawns or a fawn which is legal, and a number of people say that is why hunters get a bad name :(

Every year there are several people arrested for poaching in Iowa. Some claim that their "guide" was taking care of the tags, but the "guide" is never around when they're busted. Could this be the guide????

According to his email address, he is a former Pittsburgh Steeler living in SW Iowa and is a guide for Tails of the Hunt Outfitters.

I read it as Missouri tags are over the counter. The sentence was worded poorly.

Iowa is broken up into zones. You must apply for that zone a year prior by putting your name or number in the lottery pool. You must also meet all the requirements for iowa. If you sign up for the lottery, you will likely draw a tag once every 3 years.

I read it that way as well, saying they have the "top zone" Iowa, if you have tags, and Missouri tags are over the counter.
