I've had a couple of these cameras. They are ok to say the least. They have a loud trigger noise that occurs every time a picture is taken. It is the shutter in the camera going up and down. The night pics are not the best. Trigger time is somewhat slow. Day pictures are awesome though and the camera has good battery life. Overall they are not a bad camera for the money, but I would recommend the Moultrie M-80. This camera is in the same price range and is better in every category.

Also I would look into the Covert cameras. Pat post's up lots of pictures in the trailcam forum and that is all he uses. His pictures are always top notch and he never has anything bad to say about the coverts. I will be checking out the covert line sometime in the next year too.

The new line of Truth Cams is supposed to be completely silent. I have 4 truth cam 46s and a truth cam blackout, and the blackout does not make any noise or anything.

Cole, I didn't know that they fixed the shutter noise. That should be a big help. I've only had the older versions and that noise was very loud considering it was coming from a trail camera.

How do you like the black out? Is the battery life still good?

I love the blackout so far, only had it for like a month now. Still on the same set of batteries, and it usually takes around 200 videos a week. The only flaw I have found so far is that the videos are kind of glitchy sometimes, but not bad at all. I will definitely be buying some more later on.

The first video link is from the blackout camera.

hey guys, i was also wondering about the truth cam 35. the 35 seems to have better reviews and rating then the 46, and is cheaper.. what do you all think?

I have never used the 35s myself, but I have not heard anything bad about them. I guess it couldn't hurt to try it out. Also, wally world has the 46s that dont make any noise for sale for $100 now. I don't know what their price for the 35s are though

I need to be hunting where ever you are at that is some studs. And I have one of the primos cams that my brother in law gave me. Its one of the best cams I have. I built a battery back and I have used it all season and only recharged the batter one time.

The photos can be great to blurry, but the suitcase size and the d-cell batterys are just a few of it's problems... the clunk is too much to overlook as well as the ir flash spooked the h## out of some deer. The slow trigger speeds are suited more for a mineral site or baitpile. My first 46 died within a year and the second is much better but still is the same cam.

The dlc covert 3.0 is a much better cam for even less online.

i have 5 of the 35s. I have no complants. both night and day pics have been great. Battery life has been great. I did have one probelm when I was changing cards. i went to put a card back into the camera and it read SD full. I called the company and they sent me a UPS shipping lable and replaced the cam. Great service.

They do make noise every time that the shutter opens. But as the season goes on ive noticed that they dont care about the cam as much as when it was first out.

I've seen the Primos Truth cam 35 retail for $120 in online hunting accessories sites. The trigger speed is fast and it has 35 IR lights so the night shots are most likely clear and good. Can't say from personal experience though.
