Here is the thing .... Jesus is the ONLY truth .. Primos got their title FROM the Bible ... how ironic ... there are SO many Christian organizations that carry "The Truth" in their titles ... so my guess to why they are suing these guys is they also hunt ... Primos, you are scum and you lost my business forever.

Why are people freaking out like a big bully is shutting down the little man. All they are likely doing is making them change their name to no match what primos has spent millions in protecting, the name of their own brand.

It will be fine for all sides involved, primos sales won't plummet, and this ministry wont go belly up. Much ado about nothing imo

Here is the thing, businesses are in business to make money. Nothing at all wrong with that. The point is that this organization that is using the word; truth in their name is not going to cost Primos any money or take away from their business in any way. To say that the word; truth is some sort of copywrited word is just plain rediculous. I have a feeling that after seeing all the negative comments about this matter, that Primos will eventually back down. In the short term this will actually cost Primos some business. Then when they back down, as I think they will, they will be the ones with egg on their face.

    Blessings.......Pastorjim

Got a link or is this still the pitch fork and torch mob screaming for justice?

It all hinges on how they handle themselves IMO. To seek money and shut down a ministry is terrible PR, and no way on earth can I see a company being dumb enough to do that in Primos position. However, if they are suing for a name change, then IMO nothing wrong and everyone has their panties in a wad for nothing.

OK well continue fighting the cause brother!

I'll wait for the entire story to come out before I jump to conclusions. OF COURSE they are suing for them to stop business under the name. The message you posted lists money damages as a reason for the suit, it doesn't come out and say Primos is suing for a sum of money.

Who knows what Primos is doing with this, but the vague message from the man being sued isn't the best source of what is really going on here. Like I said, I can see WHY Primos is suing. If they go after money from a non profit I don't agree with the decision, but if they ask the non profit to quit copying their copyrighted name....then who cares. Change your name and go on doing your good deeds.

And Primos would be a better source? Looks like they have a lot to lose and are already on the defensive....... Just trying to understand your logic. Nothing more..

No. I haven't seen anything issued by Primos at this point...Am I missing something?

A better source would be a link to the suit filed and what is being sought. I'd say the company supposedly being shut down has much more to lose than the mega company that will thrive regardless how they handle this situation. They may lose <1% of their customers, but the vast majority of people will never hear of this and they will still sell everything from knives to deodorant in all the major stores.

Again, three sides to everything, each parties side and the truth. I don't see a point in forming a lynch mob already while only 1 of the 3 versions of the story are available?

With all of the FB posts emails and overall talk on Hunting Forums, you would think Primos would come out and make a statement of what is actually happeing, If there is nothing to this that would be the easiest way to put the rumors to rest. Their continued silence continues to give credence to the rumors, and the lynching will continue.

This internet mob is absolutely astounding. All of you a fighting for something you know NOTHING about. We have a extremely one sided statement and one man standing on a soap box preaching it the truth, no pun intended.

Im sure, after lawyer work is finished, Primos will release a statement.

Yep. I think there's some third party objectivity needed here. I also think there's some Biblical wisdom needed here as well.

As a follower of Christ, I am concerned with the way this has been approached by the ministry. I posted this on their Facebook page, but it was promptly taken down.

Huntin' the Truth is not responsible for what Primos does, but they are responsible for their response, and I simply don't understand the attitude of boycott retribution in the name of Christ.

And from a Biblical perspective, right there's the problem. It's all rumors. And the Christians are the ones acting as the primary propagators at this point.

I am utterly convinced that what Paul wrote to the Corinthians about taking their matters before unbelievers has strong application in this instance as well,

So why not rather be wronged than to take this matter publicly before the world? Why take one wrong committed against Huntin' for Truth and attempt to turn it into a bigger wrong against Primos?

This simply strikes me as a vengeful, bitter response. I pray that both parties would be able to seek to understand one another and come to a mutually amicable agreement. But if that can't be done, I'd rather the followers of Christ rather be wronged than to drag this out into every imaginable public forum.

It just utterly saddens me. [IMG]

I hung my old grunt call up in my stand and the reed fell to the earth. I said, oh so quietly, F%#$ Me. so I oh so stealthily climbed down and picked it up. Upon reassembling it I noticed that it was a Primos call. So again I say, F^$* Me. What are you going to do??

I find all of the internet shenanigans hilarious. Keep 'em up guys :)

For all any of you know, Will Primos politely asked the Huntin' the Truth guys to change their name and they responded with "Go play in traffic." Right now, all you have is one person's word on the situation and just because he calls himself a Christian you jump on the bandwagon.

I knew a guy who ran a Christian hunt ministry that took youth out, and I watched him waste game first hand. In fact, I watched him purposefully throw birds on his roof and then drive down a highway so they'd fall off as he went. Everybody bought into his BS just because he said his life was dedicated to Christ.

Now, I'm not saying that these guys might not have had the best of intentions, and that they are in fact spreading the biblical truth, but we have no way of knowing that.

As far as Primos losing business. I won't stop buying their stuff just because they made this decision. They make some decent turkey calls and I need a new one. Not to mention that the employees of his company most likely had nothing to do with this decision and to stop buying will hurt them long before it hurts Will Primos. Look at Jeff Foiles, he was convicted of several felonies regarding game at a Federal level this year and will be doing prison time for it. I still saw a line to his booth at the Game Fair and I'm sure he sold a ton of product.

Would you kindly enlighten me as to which dumpster i should go diving in? =)

But in all seriousness, this angers me to the core. I guess Primos also owns the phrase truth in advertising? Perhaps they're going to go after thetruth.com stop-smoking campaign? ....maybe they should skip all shenanigans and go straight for the big dogs...truth.com - your leader in window repair!

I'm fortunate enough that all im having to throw out is a grunt call. None of my other gear came from Primos...and after reading this, it never will.
