I was putting up my DB dark horse blind a couple of days ago and two of the rods broke. I emailed Primos CS and got return emails very quickly (same day) letting me know they were on it. Then the next day I get an email from a woman saying call the 800 number and give CS my ticket number and this would be taken care of. I called and explained what happened and she said she would send the rods. I asked if I could get some extras and she said they came in a 4 pack. I said great and since this is the second the rods broke (wind storm the first time, 2-3 yrs ago) I asked if it was possible to get an extra 4 pack. She said shipping on a 4 pack was $15 and on two 4 packs it would be $18. I then asked how much a 4 pack was going to cost me. She said the rods were free, all I needed to do was pay shipping. Great! I have two 4 packs of rods coming in the next few days for $18 shipping.
I'm not sure but it sound as if you paid for the rods plus shipping....just saying..If I'm right you have been Flimflammed.
I guess it al depends on how you look at it. It would definitely cost something to ship those rods and $18 sounds about right. Or you could say I paid $18 for 8 rods.
Even at $18.00 depending upon weight you would have been charged $12.00 bucks to much. Still checking out Primos website for replacement parts I found this for the replacement straps. Double Bull Replacement Bag Strap Strap for the Double Bull Bag that your ground blinds comes in. Price includes shipping. Call: 1-800-523-2395 and select the option for customer service to talk to a Customer Service Representative about receiving this product. SKU: DB-CS Price: $10.00 If the replacement strap price includes the shipping price once you click the shopping cart then why are you being charged anything if the rods are free? I'm going to leave this one alone for food for thought.
Bruce i have had nothing but good cs from them. I bought a turkey Jake from then the fan snapped they sent me 2 new ones $15 for shipping. Shipping isn't free for them duo i have no problem paying for it if they are replacing broken parts. Sent from my LG-E739 using Tapatalk 2
I left my blind out a little too long a couple seasons ago and got a big snow/ice load on it and snapped one of the rods. My fix was a fiberglass electric fence post. Cost $1.09. Just cut it to length and epoxy glued it onto the cams. Worked like a charm and is the exact same material, just grey instead of black. http://www.tractorsupply.com/sun-guard-ii-fiberglass-post-3600980
