Interested in hearing a report on the Bohning Heat vanes after you have given them a fair trial. Blazers have been good to me, but I always have my ear to the ground for a new approach with benefits.

So decided to dump the Prime strings and put on some America's Best Bowstring Platinum Series strings. Been traveling lately so only got them put on the bow. Should hopefully get to tuning this weekend. Interested if it makes a difference.

I hope your experience with ABB Platinum is better than mine. I bought a very lightly used black Rival off the AT classifieds a year ago March and it came with a set of ABB Platinum strings that the orginal owner had purchased. That was a selling point for me, but when they arrived they had several serving separations around the cams. Off they came and on went a fresh set of Catfish Custom Strings in Fury that I still have on the bow today.

The little rubber string dampener that sits right under my top cam where the string splits finally came off. Anyone else have this happen and should I have it replaced?

Ok my conclusion is that the Prime strings are the major contributor to the noise I was hearing on the Rize. After swapping to the new ABB Platinum strings the noise is was hearing is gone.

Matt . . I'm there too . . trying to decid between a Reign 7, Rize, or Centergy Air. I've analyzed all the specs, read and watched all the reviews, and read through this thread which provided additional detail re draw length measurements and cam implications . . and I still can't seem to decide. I'm not a hunter . . but shoot FITA rounds, outdoor and indoor, field, and 3D. I've been shooting as an adult for 40 years . . so as you can imagine my next bow will be 50# and should have a draw cycle that is 'easy to get started and drops smoothly into the valley with 80% let-off. I'd love to hear your thoughts/thinking process in trying to o decide between these bows . . and I'll be glad to share my thoughts in more detail.

I'd drop the Centergy from consideration then. It has the worst draw cycle of the three you listed.

Thanks buckeye . . there is no Prime dealer in my area so I don't have the option of dropping into the shop and pulling one personally to check it out, so your input is really appreciated. It's also interesting because since the Centergy is the lowest IBO rated bow of the three my assumption (never good to ass/u/me anything) would be that it has the smoothest draw cycle . . apparently that's not correlated in this case.

No . . there is no (Prime) dealer in my area. Why do you ask . . and are you suggesting any particular models?

Thanks I'll have a look . . the issue of dls cams on the hunting models has been a stumbling block for my decision process.

This certainly adds more versatility than dls cams . . but apparently the cams need to be removed from the bow first, so not a trivial procedure.

I felt like the Centergy had a great draw cycle thats actually one of the reason I picked that model. So if it is the worst out of the three I must be missing out by not having shot them.

Yes I watched both and the module is certainly easy to change on a cam sitting on a bench. Can the module be changed with the cam still mounted on the bow . . in a press obviously?
