Here is another aspect I wanted to share but neglected to mention it in my previous post. Notice the relation of the bow string, arrow and sight pin. All right inline with one another due to the lack of bow torque caused by cam lean and or cable guard induced torque. Almost always see the sight pin aligned to the left of the bow string (for right hand shooters, to the right for lefties). Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
You know I have felt like I have had more torquing issues with my bow because I am not used to such a narrow grip. My bowtech had a nice fat grip that I got very used to. I used to only anchor with my knuckles splitting my jaw line but I have had to start touching my nose to the string to help get more consistent groups. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
On behalf of southpaws everywhere, thanks for the inclusion bruh!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
On another note, got new arrows this week and the Centergy likes the new Gold Tip X-cutters more than the Victory X-ringers. The X-cutters are .250 spine cut 27 inches, with Blazer vanes, 65 grain screw in points with pin adapters and pin nocks. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
That's just ridiculous. Everyone knows that a Bigfoot's vitals are 5" higher, and the heart is slightly offset to his left. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
And there lies the difference between shooting for kills and shooting for scores Guarantee there will be one at the R100 we are going to.
Truth! I won't be aiming for the 10 ring (or higher) until the target manufacturers pass an anatomy course. Don't wanna develop any bad habits lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Just disregard the anatomy and the actual location of the rings. Its about focusing on the rings, picking your spot and executing the shot. As you know picking your spot is not uncommon while hunting. So picking your spot, focusing and executing that shot is something that translates very well from the course to the woods.
So with the new arrows being just a little fatter than the last ones were with the Blazer vanes I was getting some vane contact on the top bar of the HDX rest (removed the top bar for now so I am now shooting with no vane contact) and I had to run the Flexis guard in a bit more as well for vane clearance on the cables. I tried changing cock vane orientation but that made my cable situation worse, I just didn't want to run the Flexis in any more and introduce unneeded torque into my setup running cock vane out or down... So, I ordered some of the new Bohning Heat vanes and will refletch these x-cutters with them. Bohning designed these vanes for broadheads, they are supposed to have the same correctional properties as the Blazers. These vanes are a very rigid material like the blazers but are .41" tall rather than the .57 of the Blazers. They are also 2.5 inches long rather than the Blazers 1.75. They are also a little bit lighter at 6 grains each rather than the Blazers 7.5 grains. I carry 8 arrows in my hip quiver. Four will be all orange vanes, four will be all black vanes. Sometimes you have to go full stealth mode Anyone else got anything going on?
Right now my setup seems to be doing ok. I am going to a shoot tomorrow so we will see. Probably gonna shoot K40 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
Well I didn't shoot terrible but it wasn't great either. For some reason I was shooting about 6 inches high all day so I had to back off my sight about 3 yards to compensate. By the time I had that figured out I had already dropped 12 points on the front 15. I shot pretty well on the back half once I had the sight issue figured out. Finished with a 274 should have probably been closer to 290. Oh Well still a great morning to get out and shot. Sorry no pics this time around
