I am also in the camp of not really caring much for the 85%. I'm trying to like it, as I think it would be great for holding on a deer for a week if you need to. But, I just don't like feeling like I'm in neverland at full draw. I don't mind a bow, to some degree, that feels like it wants to eat. Not to mention, have you let it down from full draw?! Its a bit scary until you get used to it and knowing where it finally takes off.

I'm shooting 85% right now. Kinda used to it since it feels a lot like the Obsession I was shooting last year. Draw length fits better there too for me with the PCXL7 cam

Also the lower let off, the less time the string spends at full draw once you release. John Dudley was talking about this and said the majority of the time from when you actually trigger your release til when the arrow is off the string it is sitting at full draw. And the longer it's there the more time there is for mistakes. Just my two cents. All this being said, the higher let off is nice for sitting at full draw waiting on a deer. I'm 100% for shooting what you are comfortable with and the great thing about primes is there's a lot of room to play with it!

While waiting for the Centergys arrival, I got together the accessories I will be using... Which got me to wonder what you guys are using on your Primes?

    Going with;
Axcel Accutouch Carbon Pro for 3D (which I may or may not switch out to an Axcel Armortech for hunting)
    QAD HDX rest
An assortment of B-stinger stabilizers, weights and back bar mounts to get it balanced the way I like for 3D. Will likely remove all stabilizers for hunting.
    Prime Sherpa one piece quiver.
Stan Just X 3 finger that I may or may not switch to a Scott Freedom XT release for hunting.

    Victory X-ringer shafts for 3D
Gold Tip Velocity 340's with 125 grain Grizztricks out front for hunting.

I'm a KISS type of guy so my setup is this.

    Spot Hogg Hunter Hogg-it.
    Limbdriver Pro V rest
    BStinger 6" with weights
    Tight Spot Quiver
    Scott Rhino XT release.

Gold Tip Kinetic Pierce with 100 grain Slick Trick Standards and 20 grain Gold tip FACT Weights.
I'm not making a decision on arrows yet as I'm still testing the GT's. All else fails, I'll go back to my Pro Hunters.

My signature has my current setup. Waiting on a bowrattler to come in at the moment. I have hushpuks all over it but at the present I don't think they are really needed.

    Ok for the mobile users:

    2016 Prime Rize
    Black Gold Ascent Verdict
    Apex Gamechanger Quiver
    Hamskea Hybrid Hunter Pro
    B-Stinger
    Goldtip Kinetic Kaos 340

Also for the Kinetics I am adding a 20 grain FACT weight to the back of the insert.

Thanks Buckeye for pointing that out.

    So far, I'm thinking:

    QAD HDX rest
    HHA 3019 sight
    B-stinger stab
    Sherpa 1-piece
Plus a peep and a kisser

    And sticking with...
    Scott Lil Goose
    Maxima Blue RZ 250 shafts
Rage 3 blade (100 grain) heads

And lucky buckaroo gets the honor of installing all that shizz.

You sure those rage 3 blades can kill a deer?

I am going to have to look into a mirror while installing everything on your bow since you are a lefty and everything is backwards. ;)

The struggle is real! And I'll continue to use the Rage 3 blade until a legitimate pro staffer tells me they won't work. Then I'll switch to whatever brand he reps.

Well after shooting a Centergy Hybrid at my local shop I really fell in love and decided it was time to make a change and retire my Bowtech Experience to backup status. They didn't have the Centergy in stock so I went to a different shop to shoot one so I could decide which one I liked better and I decided to go with the Centergy. I talked to my shop last week and he said my new Centergy should be in this week. That will be right at about 4 weeks.

28"DL- 70# limbs- FirstLite Fusion Camo

I already picked up all of my accessories

    • HHA Optimizer King Pin w/ .10 pin
    • Prime one piece sherpa quiver
    • QAD HDX Rest
    • Going to order a custom string stop from "CoolHandLuke" over on AT when he gets black back in stock.
    • I still need to decide on a stabilizer but I will figure that out when then bow gets here and I can shoot a few different ones
    • Gold Tip Pro Hunter 340's
    • Plano all weather case
    • Stan SX3 Heavy Metal

Whats your take on the Hamskea? The one thing that sort of irritates me on the Pro V on this bow is how far back it mounts compared to say, my old Bowtech Experience. I always try to get the rest as close to the pivot point of the grip as I can, but its back quite a bit on this bow. I've debated on looking for another rest that gets me closer. Not sure if the Hamskea would or not. The way many of these rests mount, its back quite a bit from that centerline on the grip. I don't know if we realize it or not, but its not a whole lot different than an overdraw.

So far I like the Hamskea. You can configure that thing in any way possible I think. Limbdriven, cable driven, etc.. It does set back about as far as the Pro-V. I was shooting a Pro V on the Halon but really wanted one I could connect to the bottom line vice the top. The activation cable was slapping the quiver mount from time to time.

Looking at the picture of your bow I definitely don't think you are going to get much more closer with the Hamskea. My only complaint with the Hamskea is that I wished I could remove the top part of the enclosure. So far no contact but I like for that area to be open. If your arrow is falling that way something else is wrong.

While I agree for aesthetics, I do not believe the position of the launcher arm in relation to your hand on the riser is all that important at all in terms of accuracy.

I believe it is the length of your arrow that really matters. I like to have the end of my arrow just above the throat of the grip if possible. This position gets affected the least in the event of a form / shot sequence break down.

The further the end of the arrow is in front of or behind this point (where the hand contacts the riser) amplifies a form / shot sequence break down.

i'm one for 85% let off it's does not have that push forward feeling like some other bows do. then i bought my first elite (e-35) i ask the shop to get rid of the push forward feeling. i find the 85% to be the best let-off any thing more then 85% if for the birds...lol

Interesting, and I can see what you're saying. However, the further the pivot point (where arrow and rest come in contact), from the grip throat, the more the effect torque will have on the arrow. I can see what you're saying in that the more arrow hanging off the front of the rest, the more amplified this is. I personally do not like having a broadhead back that far on the shelf and prefer it to end up somewhere at the front of the shelf.

Being a victim of t-rex syndrome I usually cut my arrows longer to get the weight I want. The broadhead ultimately ends up closer to the front of the riser as a result of course.
