did the player in question deserve to be called out??? I remember a few years ago when peyton manning thru his entire o-line under the bus during a post game presser, he didn't get hammered nearly as hard for that than some folks are willing to pound on #4... favre is no more a primadonna than any other player in the league...

Winning doesn't erase the type of person someone is. Dennis Rodman won numerous NBA championships, but that doesn't change the type of person he was.

Favre is a prima-donna regardless of his statistics, accolades or record. It doesn't take away from anything he has done or will do, but please, no other type of person other than a prima-donna would act as he has over the past 3-5 years

Hahaha you guys are funny .. Comparing Farve to T.O. is ridiculous. One is a team wrecker the other is a 3 time NFL MVP, Super Bowl Champ and still has something left in his tank at 40 years old.

Farves the type of guy I'd want at my hunting camp, not to mention the QB of my team. Put good players around him even at his age and hes tough to beat. Viks will lose some game this year, its inevitable but they are also gonna win some that they probably wouldnt with the other two options they had at QB.

In order of importance to the Vikings:

    Adrian Peterson
    Jeff Allen
    Percy Harvin
    Adrian Peterson
    Chester Taylor
    ADrian Peterson
    Brett Favre

The Vikings just need someone to get the ball to AD and their skilled playmakers.

Favre doesn't have the Vikings 3 - 0, he won them one game in my book.

If they were 0-3 everybody would be blaming Farve. You can say what you will but the announcer at the end of that play nailed it. "That is why you have Farve on your team"

He's doing exactly what we need him to do.

Control the game, get it to explosive players on short routes, get it to AP, and throw it deep when he has to!

It's not up to him to get them to any record, team game. He's a great asset.

And if that aint the truth, I don't know what is!

Doesn't matter if he knew who he was throwing to. It was pretty much a busted play and every receiver is no longer running the designed route and are just trying to get open.

I'd heard about the play but hadn't seen it until I watched the video clip in the first post... Thoughts/feelings about Favre aside, I think the receiver is the one who deserves all the accolades for that win; that catch was incredible!!

I see nothings changed with some of the Favre haters here. A few from Wisconsin and the person comparing Favre to TO, whatever. Gotta laugh!

For all of you ripping Favre, TJ never would of had the Vikings 3 and 0 right now. Never!!!!! I have no clue how good the Vikings are going to be this year but I can pretty much guarantee It that there much better with Favre then they would be with TJ. Favre just needs to be good, not awesome. He's the farthest thing from a cancer, can't believe people are comparing him to that big mouth, cry baby TO.

My thoughts as well. Favre just chucked the thing (understandable given the circumstance) and Lewis went up and got the ball. Thing is, Lewis wasn't even supposed to be in the game on that play. He was subbing for a gassed Percy Harvin.

They've played the Browns, Lions, and 49ers..... I think I'd have a chance of making them 3-0. Next 2 they have the Packers at home then the Rams. Like I said before the season. The Vikes will be 5-0 maybe 6-0 when they play the Ravens week #6. Let's not annoint him the greatest QB in the league just yet. Let's see what he does during the meat of the schedule. I'm looking forward to how he handles some real defenses (pitt especially)

Your 100% correct NYB, you'll get no argument out of me on the teams they've played. The Vikes are 3-0 and haven't come close to playing a full 4 quarters of football yet, when they do It could be good. No one said he was the greatest QB In the league either. Hell If he's just average this year that's all the Vikes need. That's the whole point that most of us non haters are trying to say (he don't need to be awesome, just good). Us Minnesota guys know what this team Is capable of, we watched this team 2 years In a row with a way below average QB almost take this team somewhere. Just Imagine what an average QB could do with this team. Who knows, maybe Favre will stink It up this year but If he doesn't the Vikes will go along ways!!!

What do you think was going through Adrian Petersons mind after that touchdown pass?
