I am in the market for a new set up meaning everything bow, sight rest, stabilizer. i am looking at the Halon, HHA, Nap apache and a nap stabilizer, i figured it to come in around $1500 I was wondering though do you guys think a pro shop would give a discount if i bought everything from them?
Most shops that I have ever dealt with would give a nice discount for all the accessories if you purchase a bow from them.
Wish I got discounts. I never heard of a shop doing that. I just got a new bow but honestly, I'm looking to do more and more of the stuff on my own. I think my next bow in the future I'm going to just order the bow so I get it brand new in the box and just get my accessories on Amazon/Ebay etc. and save a ton.
I just bought a Halon 6, HHA Kingpin, NAP Drop away, and stabilizer. It came in around that price range.
The only time I bought a bow at the shop was at Lancaster Archery. Bought everything from them and never got a discount. They are a lot bigger than your typical shop, but I still prefer shopping for deals online or buying barely used items.
Not only a discount, but they will mount and help you tune. You can't go wrong buying from a dealer, IMHO>
The shop I got my Nitrum Turbo from give me discount for but every thing form them. As said above they also check everything, made sure the ata was correct, DW, cam lean & timing. I got Nitrum Turbo, Apache Carbon, 365 archery stabilizer, HHA TE 5510 & wrist sling, all for $1391 out the door.
Bought my Halon for $1099 (bare bow). Bought all my accessories from them and was never offered a discount.. came out to a little over $1500. That was with red accessories (dampeners, monk tails, sling.) I thought i was doing good for the price then bought a new release, arrows, mathews quiver and a case.. Nearing the $2000 mark but I love it.
I just bought a Halon 6 with a Mathews Qad rest, Trophy Ridge React one Pro sight, Trophy Ridge Static 9" Stablizer and wrist sling for $1269 out the door.
Around $1500 out the door for all my stuff and yes I got discount on arrows and accessories. They even gave me 2 coupons for $20 off if spent $100 in the future. I think its good business practice to offer discount on extras, it shows that they want your future business. I am a sucker for good relations like that..
The shop I'm going through said he'd give a discount. Plus I get several sessions of Range time and if it needs retuned after shooting a couple hundred shots they'll do that to. Good shops work with you. If they won't, they generally only care about the bottom line. Not your return business.
I didn't get a discount on my accessories but you can usually find any sight, rest, etc. cheaper on eBay.
when I bought my last bow, they gave me 10% off any accessory at the time of purchase. Still do your homework ahead of time because their price with discount may still be higher than you could get elsewhere. Personally I am willing to pay a few extra bucks to support a local business and get the service that comes with it for installation and after the sale. If I were to buy online and bring in the component to have it installed correctly, there is going to be a charge so that also needs to be considered when price comparing.
Shameless plug but I have a HHS DS-XL5519 up for sale. Price is negoatiable as long as its reasonable.
I get decent discount from the shop I go to. I would rather pay a few extra bucks for accessories at the shop then purchasing from eBay or Amazon. If I didn't get the discount Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
