    A. I didn't dress warm enough for the temps in the 30's. Froze my butt off.
    B. I didn't see a deer during shooting hours (only a dozen turkeys that passed right by me)
    C. When I got to the bottom of my ladder stand and started to put my back pack on I looked to my left and there was a doe at 20 yards looking at me. She must of just came through the funnel fence line I was hunting over. Well she took a couple more looks and the white flag went up and she was gone. If she would of got out her bed 5-10 min. earlier I would be gutting right now.

So not only did I not see any deer during shooting light, I just educated that deer where my stand is. Man that bums me out.

Other than that it was a good sit with a beautiful sunset.

I still can't believe as cold as it was today I didn't have see any deer.

    Dont worry...

Spooking deer is not the best thing, but, its not as bad as some make it out to be.

Give that stand a weeks rest and it will cool down. It doesnt matter if that was a booner or a doe- it will calm down. It was only one intrusion.

As for 30degree temps...dayyyum..Its 2238 here right now and still a comfy 64degrees. Not looking forward to it getting any cooler.

    Keep at it bud !!
