Pretty excited and nervous at the same time!

My husband already congratulated you guys, but I wanted to add mine.

Very happy news. You have some really good times ahead of you.

Sleep in as much as you can now because those days will soon be behind you.

 

For the guys, this is your chance to be a real hero. When we first came home, my husband would get up at night, change baby, and then get her attached to me. I would go back to sleep while she slurped. After 20 minutes, he would turn me over, get baby reattached, wait until she was finished slurping and put her back in her crib. This went on for three days until I was rested enough to stay awake.

For a while after the birth, you are really tired. Your body has to recover and it also has to start producing milk for baby. It takes a couple weeks to start feeling normal again. Daddy can be a REAL MAN during this time.
