I'm fairly new to bowhunting, and very new to having trail cams. Man is it fun!!! I thought this pic of a doe in the snow was cool, and I'd really like to see this buck from a stand.
Why? I've drawn and painted since I was a kid and I was an art major in college. I don't do much of it anymore but I'd consider dragging out the easel for that one. Looks like it'd be fun to try to paint. It wasn't a troll post.
I hope not too. I have from after Christmas until the end of January to hunt. Considering I've never shot a buck, I almost hope I don't see that giant .... it would be a little weird to shoot a buck-of-a-lifetime right off the bat. I certainly won't pass up a smaller buck with hopes of seeing him. I'm learning that bowhunting is hard. I wish I would have started 30 years ago.
Well that sounds much better, maybe it is just my cynical mind at work. I deleted my original comment.
I honestly don't even see how that could have been taken out of context but glad you feel better about it now anyway.
The post made perfect sense to me. I've always been good at sketching and drawing and while I'd love to be able to paint being colorblind makes that all but impossible. Sometimes I'm jealous of you all who have normal color vision.
You could paint in grey scale or if you're partially/mostly colorblind....painting exactly how you see, that could be pretty amazing actually. I used a lot of different media and some mixed media years ago but oil paint was always my favorite. Mostly because I loved the feel of them on canvas and the techniques to get the looks I wanted (textures, etc..). Those would hold true even if a person was blind. Monet had a visual issue in his later years and kept painting.
I wish I would have started a lot sooner too. You never know what's gonna happen. Best of luck to ya!
