    Welcome CMTRAV!

I just applied for a city hunt that is happening in my area. Deadline and drawing is Wednesday. They are taking 25 random draw and so far 87 have applied. Pretty long odds but getting drawn would kind of be a big deal. Essentially it would give me 4 additional tags to use for the city hunt. If I don't draw I am pretty much limited to one either sex deer in MN.

    Good luck!!
I wish they would do that in my area! Too many tree huggers around here protested bowhunting in the forest preserves. Instead they hire sharpshooters to spotlight at night. SMH

That's logic...let's hire some one to do something instead of having people pay the city some money to do the same thing

This is Illinois, our politicians are not known for common sense!

I'm going out Saturday & Sunday for a 3D shoot at Chicago Bow Hunters. to get dialed in. They had a great setup last month.

    Buck pics

These are a few of the bucks I'm chasing this year. The big clean 8 called Lucifer is the buck that I missed on film in Dec. last season in northern WI. The other 2 are yet to be named bucks from a farm I hunt in Knox co. IL. Hopefully they stay around for fall, sometimes the summer bucks down there leave before fall so we'll see after next card pull in Sept. :)

Those are some great looking bucks! I hope you get another shot at lucifer, Nice and early in September like a few years ago!

OK it's time for everyone to brag!
Let's see the biggest buck You've ever gotten!!
Sadly I only have one buck on my wall,

He's the smaller one here. Never did get a shot at his bigger brother

Over the last few seasons I've had several opportunities at shooting nice bucks here in Rhode Island, and in Illinois. I was foolishly holding myself to a standard that hunters in the Midwest would hold themselves to. (130 or higher)I was also self filming, and if I knew I couldn't get a good shot on film I wouldn't take it.
It makes me nauseous to think of the bucks that I passed on here in Rhode Island on my property. (Especially since I had to sell the property!) A buck scoring 100-110 in RI is considered a great buck, anything higher is a monster.
Life lesson learned I guess! I'm done sobbing and crying now! LOL!

Haven't shot a deer with my bow yet. Been bow hunting 3 years. I can feel the teams confidence in me building haha.

    Great looking bucks!

Here are my biggest. I got the middle one, 12pt in 2005. It was the first deer I ever killed with a bow. 10pt on left is from 2010. 8pt on right is from 2008.
