Checked a few cameras yesterday and brushed in a ground blind. Was going to take a pic but left my phone in the truck. Nothing but does, fawns, and spikes on the cams which doesn't bode well for early season but should help me out come November.
Your season starts October 1st. I would stay out of there until your 1st hunt then check them on your way out.
First sit tonight. Pretty typical first sit S*** show haha. Didn't see anything. Checked a camera on the way in. Couple deer I'm after haven't come by the cam since the 4th. Hoping to sit again Tuesday.
Just received a good pic from one of the other hunters at my hunting grounds. The buck on the right I believe is a definite shooter.

When it rains it pours in my world right now. My wife finally got to go see our son at Virginia Tech. On the way back last night she got to Gary, Indiana and some dude rear ended them and sent the van spinning. She is ok just a bit sore. Her niece was with and feeling the same. Dude tried to say they cut in front of him. Cop said you can tell he rear ended her. My plans to head out to Western Wisconsin this weekend are now shot. Glad she is ok that's all that matters.
Damn sorry to hear that. Glad they are OK! You're right, when it rains it definitely pours. I can definitely relate to that. My wife and I have been hit with the **** stick for the past year or so. It started with The company I work for cutting everyone's hours. Then a few months later, my wife losing her job due to the company closing. She had been there 15 years. We fell behind on our bills, then in April I had a stroke, we were forced to sell our house and property, because I couldn't work. We finally have an umbrella now! Things are starting to go our way. I'm not the most religious person, but I truly believe that God test us in many ways, and it's in these moments that we learn the most about ourselves, and what we can handle in life. Hang in there, stay positive, things are bound to turn around for you guys. Glad everyone is OK. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm preaching, I can just relate to what you're going through.
