Not sure if anyone will find this useful or not but, if you have dogs and eat chicken you may like it.

We got our 6.5 quart pressure cooker the other day. We got it for a number of reasons but one of them was to take chicken bones and pressure cook them to soften them so we can feed them to the dogs. I am betting it will wrok greta with rib bones from deer too. When we eat chicken we take the left over bones and put them in a freezer bag and store in the freezer. We keep adding to it as we eat chicken and, when we have enough bones, put them in the pressure cooker, with enough water to cover them, at about 11.5 psi for about 2 hours. When finished cooking they crumble easily and have zero splintering. There is also a bunch a tasty water for the dogs.

It's a nice way to supplement the cost and nutrition of dog food and it cuts down on waste that goes into the garbage.

The pressure cooker was $75 so it will be a little while before making the money back but the cooker should last the rest of our lives with just the cost of a new gasket each year. The cooker was made in America and is very high quality so, IMO, another reason for money well spent.

Like I said we will have a bunch of other uses for it also but this was one I thought some of you may be interested in.
