I kept looking for the solution they are proposing but for some reason I didn't see anything.

I think they're talking about basically wiping out the herd in some areas.

"noting that 20 percent of bucks and 9 percent of does in the Mount Horeb area now have it." I had no idea it was still that bad

They tried a scorched earth wipe them all out program for 10 years which proved futile. More cwd is popping up statewide thanks to high fence canned shoot operations. Marathon county is the latest. If these same dems are serious vs. pushing an agenda from campaign contributors then ban baiting/mineral sites in the other 1/2 of the state now otherwise beat your drum elsewhere. Thank god we have 700,000 licensed voting deer hunters that still pack political clout. Break bread with a Minnesota hunter that deals with stupid low Dpsm goals set by the Dnr and a shrinking/passive hunting crowd.

The DNR and any of the state legislature can try and force all they want. The management of the herd is now in the hands of private land managers. They will dictate what will be shot and what wont be on their lands. They have wised up to the "scorched earth policy" that was in place.

I'm no politician, nor a CWD expert, but I don't think a more drastic approach is the answer. CWD, like any disease in wildlife, will come and it WILL eventually go.

Oh Fitz don't even open that can of worms. I mean you know its all the wolves we have in Wisconsin now that's responsible for our herd being so small already right? (sarcastic)

How many ya want? I can haul 5 or 6 at a time in my dog box. They get a little growly with that many in there but they settle down. :tu:
