Wow im not even going to say much other than if we don't get someone else in there we are headed for a huge disaster. Its bad now 4 more years of the current admin and we will see things unimaginable to our country and constitution.

Yep, this is where I am too...and if Obama wins ( God forbid), I am taking early bets you will see the second amendment get removed and destroyed.

Americans are losing jobs to immigrants because many do not want to do the work for the pay. It's easier to sit home and collect unemployment and watch the flatscreen and talk on the iphone. It's sad to drive by road crews and see all Mexican laborers. It never used to be that way. They are willing to work hard for the $ they are paid. They still believe in the American dream. There are many new landscape and painting companies in our area that were started by hardworking Mexican-Americans who worked for American companies, but were able to start their own and follow their dreams.

Local politicians make closed-door deals every day. It just compounds, and by the time they reach Washington, they are beholden to special interests. We are so uninformed by what really happens in Washington. The media just feeds us what the power wants us to hear.

Sadly, if a 'Common Sense' third party could ever form (virally like the mideast) the two powerhouse parties could be toppled. Until then, the goal of the Dems and Repubs is to keep their supporters fighting each other and using the smokescreen to avoid a unified rebellion against their system. Until then, let's continue to be sheep.

FDR had to fight off the rising threat of a communist party in our nations politics (and did so quickly).. the great depression.. and WWII..

Ya.. I'd say he did a pretty good job as far as president's go.

It's not like the democrats are the only party to push the constitution in exile Christine.. many republicans did they same.. Lincoln destroyed it more than any.. and he was the first GOP president (before it was even a GOP).. Bush passed the Patriot Act and the list goes on.

I'm not defending Obama or the democrats.. I greatly dislike much of this presidency thus far.. but no one has come forward from the Republican side even worthy of a closer look from myself... and all I've witnessed these last few years has been the unrelenting Republican vote causing stalemate within the union... just to show the president up.. with no regard for the American people.

I despise our national political scene and how these jokes get elected.. but I'm not about to throw my vote for Romney or Newt.. they are sure to take the house down and everything I hold dear with it.

At least with Obama.. nothing will get done.

I don't think there's a man or woman on here who doesn't agree with this.

I've been preaching it for years.

At the time the constitution was written some of the most progressive thinkers of their time were writing it and wanting it ratified every 7 years. What a disservice we do to them by thinking, 200 years later, that they would want us to take the constitution EXACTLY as it was then.

I agree. It is like a broken record since Reagan left office. The current crop of GOP hopefuls cannot compete with Obama at this point. Slightly left leaning Dem incumbant vs. a slightly right leaning Repub=Incumbant winning. And that is the way it should be guys. If someone does not come into this current Presidential race and knuckle up from the Republican side, then so be it if the Dems win this next Presidential election. Someone has to go for broke, speak from the heart (NOT some stupid script or talking the way they think people want them to) and this is going to sound cheesy but I mean it...... We need a blue collar guy/gal with a cowboy heart to be President. Vote out all the talking heads, all of them.

I don't claim to be up to date with everything about politics, so care to elaborate? What about their plans will bring down the house? And how on Earth has Obama's spending been classified as nothing being done?

WOW..........how exactly was his biggest obstacle the "hot air" of the GOP?? He had ZERO obstacles when he took office............NONE. Democrats controlled every house of govt. He could do whatever he wanted to and the republicans could not have stopped him.

He was too stupid to even get along with his own party...........voting for him is the same as voting against America.

You would be happier if they just stepped aside and allowed liberals to ruin the country??.............you think it's wrong they do whatever they can to stop them from raising taxes again, spending more again, destroying the heathcare system and allowing entitlement programs to get out of control??

That is their job and what people elected them to do............maybe they should step aside and stop protecting our hunting and 2nd ammendment rights as well.

I am so sick and tired of the political system in our country, I don't believe there is one person in office that actually gives a flying crap about the people of this country.

As far as the second amendment rights, the person that tries to take that away is the person that starts our countries second civil war.

Something tells me this war would be over with quickly, if one side is against bearing arms.

Newt said it best, Social Conservative programs are just as bad as liberal ones, too bad he has to back off from that stance for the Primaries.

Until we vote in people who are not bought and paid for we are doomed, Bush had 6 years to fix this mess, how did that work out?
