I've been trying to find that thin film or skin to put on my camera arm and tripod, anyone know where to find it?

Campbells has the film, but not in the camo pattern, and it seems overly expensive for what it is. If I'm going to have to pay more than I want, I want to get what I want!

Going to need approx. 400 square inches.

    Thanks!

Just have it stripped and dipped so you get exactly what you want.

If I don't want to pay $20.00 for 100 sq. inches, I sure as hell don't want to pay to have it dipped!

You can purchase Ultimate Camo tape directly from their website.

If you're putting this on your camera trust me, you want the pre-cut skin from Campbell Cameras. Trying to do it yourself ends up looking like a hack job. The camo skins are very nice and also help protect your camera. Also, if you ever need to take them off (if you're going to sell the camera, get it repaired, etc.) they don't leave a sticky residue behind.

Thanks guys, and no - don't want it on my camera, just my camera arm and tripod - which don't require small and nifty cuts....because then you'd be right JZ - it's look horrible.

Trying to stay away from the tape, if I can help it.

Just out of curiosity - why you trying to stay away from the tape? I have my tripod and camera arm both wraped in UC tape and its held up great.

To second JZ's affirmation of its quality in applications like this, I've got all my Lone Wolf climbing sticks covered in it and it's held up spectacularly... looks great, too.

I just assumed (bad idea) that the UC tape would leave the residue that the thin camo skin or film would not leave? Am I wrong in my assumption?

Greg - no doubt that looks amazing! I'd like to do have my tree arm and tripod look like that. Doesn't leave the sticky PITA residue after it gets rained on?

    Thanks guys for the help.

I've noticed no sticky residue on the outside of the tape after getting these rained on, or at any time for that matter.

Now, if I pulled the tape off... I'm sure that'd be a different matter entirely. ;) But I don't want it off; I want it on :)... to that end, it's been great.

    Uncle Lou? No, it's Uncle Andy's... :)

Seriously, not sure what you're referring to... it's Ultimate Camo tape, and Andy is the owner. Ordered it straight from him.

Thanks Uncle Greg, Justin, and Rick : )
I have removed UltimateCamo tape on stuff that its been on more than 16 months, it wasnt bad at all, a moist sponge was used on a camera and for stuff that doesnt get damaged with water, a mild soap and water wash did the trick on climbing sticks and a camera arm. The glue that was used was the same stuff used on the no mar tape, its not suppossed to be super gooey for just this reason, we actually paid extra for this adhesive so it wasnt a complete mess when removing. The cloth tape is very durable, its not shiny, and its really gets around corners, nooks and crannies really well and does stay on well especially if you put a hair drier to whatever its been applied on, but not necessary. I always tell guys to hit whatever you put it on with a hair drier just to give it a real good fit and makes it stay on better.
