    9 times out of 10 I see a buck chasing a doe it's a dinker or a 2.5 year old.

    He almost mounted me that night on the way out, I would have never lived that one down:eek: He was 3 yds behind me grunting up a storm and checking me out. I made the mistake when I heard him coming to kneel down. I was very nervous for a bit, I am a spooner, not a spoonie;)

    I think it's because the mature one's I have do their breeding a night. Onces the rut kicks in they pretty much stay locked up, because there is no one big enough to push them off.

    I read the eberhart "bowhunting pressured whitetails"

    My take on it was not excuses, but the need to think differently than what you are used to.
