Nope...there is no cure needed to make it and there is none for the newly created addiction once you eat it ;)

I have always ground the meat and used the powder mixes ,then used a shooter. I have been wanting to try something like this for a while. My way is very messy with a lot of cleanup and waist.

    Thanks

I'm doing this right now. I got all the ingredients in a pan waiting for it to boil. How long should it boil?
Also if I go by the measurements above I should have enough sauce to do about 5 pounds of meat right?

I let it boil for about 20 minutes I'm guessing that's just to let everything blend. It's cooling now. Just pulled a bunch of last years meat out the freezer. I plan on doing this Sunday and Monday.

Sorry late in getting back to you ...you just have to bring it to a boil and shut it off...as far as the amount, the recipe tells you how many cups per pound...you can use more if you like, but don't use less...most of all...ENJOY!

Also. I would marinate overnight, minimum....8 hours.... the longer, the better.... dry it to where it is flexible still but there is the slightest of cracking happening when you bend it

Do you just cut strips of meat and follow the recipe? I really want to try some with a doe I shoot during gun season in WI!

Whipped up some of Tony's marinade on Sunday... wanted to try something new. I had extra so I threw some on some backstrap medalions as well as the jerky. I soaked the strap for 48 hrs then wrapped in bacon and grilled to med rare. The pics will tell the rest of the story! Perfection...
