Once upon a time there was a little boy about 5 years old who decided he was going to run away from home. He told his mom of his intentions and she began packing him a lunch... then she packed a second lunch. When the little boy asked why there was two lunches, the mother answered because you need someone to take care of you if you are going to run away... so I am going with you to make sure nothing bad happens to you. The two of them decided to just have a picnic in the back yard with their two lunches and the little boy never doubted his mother's love from that day... I was that little boy... I think that is one of my very first memories of my mom. She is still hanging on... but it is hour by hour... I hate it for her and hope she will just go on home tonight... I'll see her soon enough... in God's time.
Thanks again everyone... Mom passed away this morning around 8:45. I spent the night with her and Dad and we were able to be with her in her final moments. So many great memories... Your prayers have provided wonderful sustenance. Geoff
Geoff, I know it's been a long and tough road, especially the past several weeks and I'm sure a ton of emotions at present. No doubt difficult on the human level, but hopefully a joyous homecoming as well. Continued prayers for you and your family. ~Bill
Yeah... tons of emotions but mostly just joy filled memories. Dad was as faithful as a good dog... he was sleeping at the foot of her bed when I awakened him when the time drew close. His biggest fear was that he wouldn't be there when she died. I am so glad I was able to be there.

Ive been where you are Geoff. It's not easy man. THis year will be 10 years since my mom has passed. My prayers are with you!
She is at peace now and in God's Kingdom watching down over her family now. My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and may you find comfort in her peace and celebrate her life and the good memories Muzzy.
