I found out 50 minutes ago that my last remaining paternal aunt who is 87 years old fell on Christmas Eve at home. All of us tried to call her this week but unless she is sitting next to the phone, she does not hear it. This morning, my cousin that lives closest to her drove the 60 miles to her house to find her still on the floor. She had been there for over 36 hours. He said she is awake and semi-coherent. The paramedics started rehydrating her and then took her to the hospital. Lil is the matriarch of our family and much loved and I ask for your prayers that no matter which way this goes, God give us the ability to accept his will.
I just heard she broke her hip and was really dehydrated. A cousin of mine took 3 dogs to her place 2 weeks ago and dropped them off because their furnace went out and they are broke. I am willing to bet the dogs were the cause of her fall. Anyway, the nurse said she is in good spirits and will be hospitalized for a while and then will have to be in a rehab environment for a while. Thank you for the prayers.
Our Family can relate to your situation and it is tough in these times. Prayers are being sent straight away your direction. You said it well in the opener above. .... Be Strong brother.
Sorry to hear this, . . . I will Pray for her right now! And I'll keep her in my thoughts & Prayers!!! God Bless!
Surgery will be tomorrow or Monday. It's been put off twice now because her blood levels aren't right.
