thanks guys - im in alot better spirits this morning than i was yesterday. i tell ya what im not entirely religous , but my butts been prayin HARD. i stopped over at a buddies last night and pondered everything over hunting wise, and i guess it could be worse. right now im just focused on the career situation. dont know many one eye carpenters. and seeing as ive done this since ive been out of school, who knows what comes next. with no depth perception its gonna be next to impossible. im pullin SUPER hard for that 20% ive got.

Hey Dave, my dad lost an eye in Vietnam. He hunts, fishes, drives, builds without any problems. Just about the only thing he can't do is be a pilot for the military. In truth, his color blindness is much more of a hindrance.

Don't lose hope, I just don't want you to think that it has to change everything! Hang in there, we're still praying for you!

well ive been to the doctors every day except today this week. no great news or new developments really, just lots of nautiousness and headaches. im only good for about 4-5 hours before i gotta lay down and take a break. i rode up to BPS this morning with a buddy and that wasnt too bad. I looked at some different thumb releases, to try when im ready. I took my bow to the shop to get it checked out by someone with two eyes !:deer: looks like its ok though. my next release will be a tank regardless of brand, i always tried to stay with the sleek models NOT ANY MORE ! overall thing are felling a bit better. its gonna be a long road.

I just keep reminding myself that theres a plane landing everyday from the middle-east with someone on it with REAL injuries and problems ! :usa: :usa:

Thanks for all the support fellas ill keep you updated ! Dave

    Dave,
Keep a positive attitude, and stay focused on whatever may improve things for you. I'm in Tiffin this weekend, as I'm typing, I'm gonna give you a call in a bit if I can steal a phone from my nephew.

dave, check & see if there is a problem w/that release. Like a recall, or other issue. You might want to get a hold of some govt. office so that no one else gets to experience what u did.

:usa: First Off Happy Easter ! Secondly I thought it was necissary to take a minute to thank Doug (Ohbowhntr). Hes got some family in my hometown and we keep in touch quite a bit on here because , by pure coincidence he literaly hunts on the property directly east of one of mine. We were gonna get together this weekend and shoot the ****. But , because of all thats happened this week i forgot about it. BUT he called yesterday and offered to lend me his new Bowtech Tomkat in the right handed version, (my left eyes tore up and i shoot left). Keep in mind ive never even met him face to face - but he was willing to give me a bow to use to keep me in the game ! What a guy ! While i declined for now , i surely appreciatted it, and just cant get over what a nice fella it takes to offer that. My hats off to you doug! Thanks for all the support fellas. That reassured me there are more fellas like you and i out there than you think!!

    Dave,
It really is an easy offer to make to try to help out a fellow hunter/archer/man who is in a compromised position. The bow is still a little too much for my growing nephew to be able to draw yet (50-60#), and it's just something that will collect dust in my house. PM me if you get the interest, and I'll make sure I load it up for my next return trip to the area at least you wouldn't have to spend alot of $$$ to stay "in the game" is my thought on it, and your complete recovery of your vision is still among the needs of many in my prayers.

Dave, how's your vision? I know your depth is off, but any improvement? or R U still seeing gray and partial vision like the day it happened? Any other prognosis? did you go to see anyone else for a 2nd opinion? Hang in there.

Well the prognisis hasnt got any better. So ive been on the fence about the career situation. Until yesterday. My first cousin karen married into a family that owns a handful of car dealerships in NW Ohio. Hes been bugging me ever since to "put that nailbag down" and come make some "real money". Well yesterday i had a meeting with him and i walked out the newest member of Warner Automotive Group. His "sell" to me was if you can sell someone on a product in the 75,000 range (the median price range of a remodel) that doesnt even exist yet that has to be built. Why cant you sell them a product they can sit in and drive away ?
Granted - the new car sales suck wherever you go, and im probobly gonna take a decent paycut (atleast until the market turns around). there old averages where 10-15 cars /pc. a month , now there only averaging 5-8. And for a myself the income that 5-8 makes isnt gonna get me rich - but it will get me by. So lets hear all your best salesman jokes :deer: I dont think these guys are gonna know how to handle someone like myself ? I would definitily say im not your typical salesman ! So without further adoo - my first "salesman" plug

www.warnerautomotive.com Call me if your lookin for a new ride. P.S. 09 Bowtech Admral for sale LH model Pm me if interested

Nothing wrong with sales at all. Just treat people how you like to be treated and the money will take care of itself. Hope you get better, sounds like its been a rough road.
