I am feeling led to start this ... if it doesn't go far, I have done my part. I want this thread out there for those who would like prayer for anything they need ... wisdom, safety, salvation, God's will, health, etc. I am asking that mockers stay out of this unless you want real prayer ... I know a bunch of you guys are believers in prayer, so please join me as we lift these requests up to The Lord Jesus Christ. I'll go first ... please pray that my youngest (18) daughter strength as she has professed her faith to her mom (ex) Her Mom is a Jehova's Witness. By doing this she has been shunned by all her friends from the Kingdom Hall. Obviously a sure sign of a cult. Also, I am gonna be a Grandpa from my oldest daughter and her hubby Pray for Caleb's health ... he is due next month and for wisdom in raising him for his parents. Keep them coming and I will be sure to pray for God's will for all serious requests .... again, please keep the mocking of our faith out of this thread. Love in Christ, Preacher Tony +++
You know I joke about this stuff on occasion, but I take the prayers threads seriously. It means someone is in need. I am not a religious person, but my thoughts are with those in need. I wish your daughters well.
I'll say a prayer for your daughters and you Tony. Thanks for starting this thread. I spend my best time with the lord in a tree stand enjoying his creation. My wife is a recovering JW I say that as a joke but it really messed her up. She was heavily involved with them for 20yr. When her Ex-JW husband of 5yr ran off for to find himself, stealing her credit cards and leaving her with all the bills, the church threw her out because she divorced him. All of her friends 20 years stopped talking during this most difficult time in her life. She became very bitter at the JW church and at God for the next 20yr. We both put God back in our lives 2 yrs ago and life has never been better for us but the damage was done by the way the JW threw her to the wolves and her trying to live in the world and shutting God out of it. After 15yrs we almost divorced ourselves because of her actions and bitterness. She tells people she used to be a Jehova's Witness but now she's a Christian. God Bless you and your Daughters Tony. I be praying for you.
My wife is going through a very difficult situation right now. We are managing it the best we can, but any prayer is always appreciated. Prayer for wisdom and guidence would be great.
Thanks, Matt ..... I appreciate the well wishes Thank you, Brother! Same to you and yours You got it, Bro .... Listen some of you other guys, it is very humbling to ask for prayer ... maybe it even feels "out-of-bounds" here ..... I just want to encourage you that those that will judge you weak, well they are in need of prayer for God to open their eyes ... to you that have PM'D me in the past, and there has been quite a few, I am still praying for you as well .... Doug, you are on my mind with your broken neck ... keep us posted ..... still praying
Not only will I be praying for you, but I'll have all my Christian friends and family praying, as well. God bless you and your family. †
Tony, you have been in our prayers as long as we've known you (but it hasn't helped, because you are still you). On a more serious side, You and yours are in our prayers daily.
Robert L. Scott Jr., a World War II pilot, wrote the book "God is my Co-Pilot". I am not even in the cockpit, but just a mere passenger on the flight He is taking me on. I pray that He will give me the ability to accept where He takes me and I don't attempt to be a window seat pilot (like a back seat driver in case you didn't catch the reference). ;-)
Great thread and idea Tony. This site really can feel like family sometimes. I've been with you all for a year and converse almost every day. Tony and the rest, you'll be in my prayers. Myself, well I just lost a good friend from my fraternity. It was suicide actually. It really left us all shocked. He was always the most funny / happiest person you'd ever meet. Without question would be there for you whatever you need. It's especially hard because you have to wonder what you could have done different. We all know there probably wasn't anything, but still, we all feel it. Also, as I'm sure most of you have seen, the rigging at our state fair collapsed. It was a total freak gust of wind (77 mph). I have some friends of friends that were very seriously injured, 17 and may never walk again. Not only that, but to the 5 (at least so far), that have lost their lives. Again, great thread. Thanks Tony and my bowhunting family.
Funny you happened to start this thread....my daughter is having gall bladder surgery on Tuesday, normally not a big deal, but any surgery is a big deal, especially when it's family...jsut say a few prayers for her. Thanks. Phil
Prayers are on the way up for you and your family and all other needs mentioned above and the one's that are not mentioned!!
Although I am not a religious man, per say, I do believe in higher powers. I pray, perhaps more the fact of someone to talk to. I would like to learn. Two years ago my mother battled very aggressive breast cancer, extreme chemo/radiation treatments, and of course financial issues. I let her stay with me during the treatments. I stood by her side and WE were able to beat it, greatest day of my young life! Today she called me telling me she has found a new lump. I hung up the phone and lost it. We became so close after the first bout and I will fight to the death for mother. She will be up here Friday for her mammogram, I will be by her side once again. When she doesn't have strength I will be there to help. I'm asking for your prayers and or thoughts for this one. It will be rough but she is one tough lady and will not give up! Thanks
Cancer is tough. I feel for you and your mother. It's very existence and the lives it has it affected is the reason I so consistently question my faith. Not sure how innocent and good people can be put through that, in all honesty. That's a whole other thread. Sending prayers for you and your mother, bud.
