Sorry to post one of these threads guys and gals but my family is in need pretty badly. We had to hospitalize my dad Tuesday morning via ambulance. He's 75 and been going down hill the last three years. He worsened Monday and by Tuesday he had such severe back pain he couldn't walk. They took him to the local er and they took him on up to KC. They still can't find the problem and I'm not sure they are doing everything they can. He's being kept "comfortable" with pain killer. They said he has pneumonia and put him on antibiotics. He had a bad episode last night with high blood pressure and back pain again and they moved him to the ICU where he remains this morning. It seems like he's just laying there slipping away, I don't know what's going on or what to do. I feel completely helpless at the moment.
Praying for you! I remember how it felt when my dad had a pretty severe heart attack. Not fun Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah no kidding man...I guess that's the price to pay for having several consecutive years of fairly healthy family and pets. When things turn to crap they all go at once. My dog has vastly improved with the meds so hopefully she'll be around a while longer. Hopefully the Docs get something figured out with dad pretty soon but news today is his blood pressure is taking wild swings and his back is still killing him. They still say they don't see any cause except he has pneumonia, which is bad but his back hurts with movement which I wouldn't expect as a result of pneumonia. I know it'll cause back pain but a study hurt not really associated with movement was what I always heard. Anyway it's a mess and it's an hour and a half drive one way for me to get there and needing to work as well, makes it rough.
