Well this is the year I pray for redemption.... Ive been heartbroken for the past year over a deer I call Pinnacle. Ive chased this deer for 4 years and FINALLY got a shot last year.... and blew it! Ive videoed this deer many times and have thousands of trail cam pics of him. Finally as a 7.5 yr old last year I got the chance of a lifetime to harvest him and as I drew back he busted me.... I continued my draw, settled on a double lung and let it fly. The arrow zipped thru him right above his lungs and just below his spine! My only chance was to clip the top of his lungs so i gave him 36 hrs to lay up. After a month of NO sign and NO hunting I checked one last camera on the property and there he was a month later with a scab above his lungs! Enough of the sob story.... I PRAY he made it through the winter and I can see him this year just one more time.... He is the only buck I've devoted my life to the last few years, and I pray to end this chess match and continue this thread on a happy note!! Hes a few pics... enjoy!

I wonder it a deer of this caliber would stay in a area that he was wounded at? hope you get some more pics of him if he survived the winter.

I can see why you devoted so much time and energy to this animal, he's definately a stud. Hopefully you will soon be getting trailcam pics of him again. Good luck!

    Blessings.....Pastorjim

That is a stud for sure! I hope he shows up for you this year! I have a big buck I have been after the last couple years and he moves onto the neighbors middle season. I know he made it through since they found the sheds. I'm hoping he comes back again this year and stays.
