So i am away at college and dont get a whole lot of time to shoot my bow. any tips on how to get the most out of the time that i do get to shoot?
I focus on my fundamentals when first starting. Once I've got my bow sighted in, I know that the arrow will go where I want it to if my draw starts the same, I get the same anchor point and align my pin and the squeeze my release and let the bow ride it out Sent from my SAMSUNG Infuse 4G
Just remember that going through the motions doesn't necessarily help you. PERFECT practice makes perfect. Focus on the little things and you'll see a huge improvement!
Focus on the Big Picture and shoot your bow as time allows. Educate, then elevate your game. Shooting your bow is a good way to tune out for relief from school. When time allows. Getting better will require 12 arrows and 2 rounds at 20 yards twice a week.
Getting better doesn't require that regimen... Everyone will be different, I shoot a 5 spot game every day I can. Shooting in a spots league will help to tighten up groupings.
excercise your back muscles. I have a homemade bow excerciser that mimics a draw at approx 30# with zero let-off (bungee cords and fishing pole handle). Every night I draw 20X in succession and do holds for 20 seconds and whatnot. After a few months its pretty amazing how much easier it was to draw the bow.
Not true..... i like to step outside and shoot 1 arrow at a random distance. 1st shot is the only one that counts. Sent from my SCH-R970 using Tapatalk
Alright, what I meant to say was to get better - You Must Shoot 10,000 Arrows in 37 Minutes from 20, 30, 37.5, 62, and 74.75 Yards, ... This is the Only Way you will ever get better.... God Speed Brother!
Shoot when you get time. School is priority 1. It can be a great stress reliever... although it can cause stress too.
