Is it more benefitial to practice with practice broadheads as to fieldtips? And how hard is it get broadheads of the targets?

DHall, it is very benefitial to practice with broadheads. I usually practice with fieldpoints all summer. Then at the end of the summer, I start shooting fieldpoints and broadheads together, until eventually I only practice with broadheads as the season gets close.

As far as pulling broadheads out of the target, as long as you have target that is designed to take broadhead shots, you should be just fine:tu:

Always practice with broad heads when getting your rig set up for hunting. As far as that goes practice from a stand If that's how your going to hunt. Practice a few times with your hunting outfit on also. The thing Is practice exactly like your going to hunt.

I see no point in practicing with field tips.

The only time I ever shoot with them is in the spring when I am just trying to get my shooting muscles in shape.

I have never and will never shoot a field tip while hunting so I just don't see the value. That would be like sighting in a shotgun with slugs for turkey hunting.......JMO.

As long I can get them to hit the same, I'll practice with field tips. I'm one of those broke college kids, and I can't be tearing up targets all the time:tu:

I had a Morrell Yellow Jacket target last 3 years of nothing but BH abuse (currently on year 2 with my second one.)

$40 for 3 years seems affordable to anyone IMO...........but I do see your point with some other targets that wouldn't last a week.

True the Morrells are tough and affordable. I have the Yellow Jacket bag and you can't beat that thing up. It just keeps taking shots and doesn't complain:d

Once I get my bow broadhead tuned it is all fieldpoints from there out minus the occasional 50 or 60 yard groups with broadheads just to make sure everything is still dialed in perfectly.

I practice w/field tips all summer, & sight in the broadheads just before the season starts. If you shoot Rage or Slick Tricks they are supposed to fly like field tips. I've shot my Muzzy's & they all flew like my ft's. You definitely need a target designed for Bh's.
