With the seasons starting how many of you are still shooting that bow to keep sharp? I bring a block with me everytime and wing a dozen or two before I head to a stand. T
Yep justlike you peak I never stop shooting!!! I think that is one mistake alot of hunters make the season rolls around and they just hunt they forget to keep shooting to stay sharp!!Walt
I try to shoot every day. One day longbow one day compound. It doesn't always work out with work and family but I try.
when i cant get out... i'll set up a 9yd shot every other day from my basement steps into the garage! i know im a nerd!!!!!!!
Funny you mention this as I was going to post it this morning lol. Anyway. I took a shot at one of the several coons that are destroying our cornfields and shot over the top of him at 30 yards. I knew something was wrong. I got back to the farm and setup my target crawled up on the roof of the house which is about 18-20 feet high. Took 4 shots bingo dead center. Didnt have to aim low at all. I verified my muzzys were shooting the same as my field points so I know that the broadheads arent the problem. I did notice my peep had slid earlier that morning when shooting from the ground. All is well now. But i try to shoot every day for about 15 minutes before heading out. Bring on the critters!
You bet! I'm always shooting every chance I can get. Yesterday I must of shot at least 100 arrows out of my recurve. I was a little bit wore out at the end being I pull 73lbs. It wasn't a good day shooting either yesterday. I kept shooting to the left, It's something I hardly ever do. I'm not happy and I need to figure out what I'm doing wrong!!
Just about everyday, about 5/6 shots a day in season, before season is just about every day also but 15 / 20 shots a day:d
I'm still shooting, but I've broken from my normal routine. I'm not shooting as much as I was. I worked hard all summer to get my bow and myself dialed in. Now it's time to reep the benefits, from a treestand:d. I'm still shooting a few arrows with broadheads a day, just to make sure eveything is good to go It's time to relax and hunt
